Born at Waihi Beach and built from the ground up, Closeout is a Kiwi-owned and operated surfwear brand. We’re here to make solid gear that holds its own. 

Closeout started in 2023, born from a simple idea: surfwear had lost its edge. What was once raw and rooted in culture had turned stale, safe, and miles from the lineup. What began as a small design project quickly turned into something bigger, a way to push back on where surfwear was headed. 

At the core, we’re about doing things right. Our gear’s designed in-house, built to move, and made to last. We’re here for the early starts, the heavy hold-downs, the quiet lineups.
